"Our Strength Doesn't Just Come From The Power Of One, But From The Force Of Many"

  Akshatha Rao   Akshatha Rao is piloting a care coordination program within Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) as their first Patient Care Specialist.  As an essential support to the primary care team, she forges partnerships within her community to ensure that no patient falls into the cracks of the healthcare system. In January 2018, her Hartford North team received a prestigious healthcare recognition called Planetree Bronze for Person-Centered Care. Akshatha is working hard to develop systems and processes that can be replicated within PPSNE and that engage and empower patients to take an active role in their health.  She will be pursuing her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University where she hopes to continue working with PPSNE to advocate for the right to quality healthcare access and health equity in her community.

  Jenny Hunter   Growing up, Jenny always found herself leading group projects and being the connector between friend groups. As a program manager for Microsoft, she professionalizes those skills by connecting the UX designers, software developers, and customers to build a world-class operations management technology and by representing her products at conferences around the world.  Jenny is a highly creative, results-oriented technology professional who believes in the value of leadership within the engineering industry. In her own time, she works to encourage women and minorities to stay within the engineering discipline through her efforts previously with the Intel sponsored Stay With It Squad and now as Chair of the IEEE Seattle Section Women in Engineering (WIE) chapter.

Jenny Hunter

Growing up, Jenny always found herself leading group projects and being the connector between friend groups. As a diamond forging change on an international level she travels across Europe capturing the essence of several types of people and their culture through her gifted artistic abilities in photography, drawing, and communication. She is excited to see what comes next through her adventures missioned  to make an impact in the world.

Anna Robbins is a multi-talented international student studying in Stockholm, Sweden at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. As a diamond forging change on an international level she travels across Europe capturing the essence of several types of people and their culture through her gifted artistic abilities in photography, drawing, and communication. She is excited to see what comes next through her adventures missioned  to make an impact in the world. 

 
  Shannon Fahnestock   Shannon is an international business major forging the light in others through partnerships that induce meaningful change. With her many dreams lying ahead upon graduation, she is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships. Shannon studied abroad in Spain where she developed a worldly view of people and the beauty of different types of customs and culture. Her travels across Spain and other parts of Europe opened her eyes and mind to the true gift of life and the gift of exploring who we are as human beings in this massive world of remarkable people.

Shannon is an international business major forging the light in others through partnerships that induce meaningful change. With her many dreams lying ahead upon graduation, she is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships. Shannon studied abroad in Spain where she developed a worldly view of people and the beauty of different types of customs and culture. Her travels across Spain and other parts of Europe opened her eyes and mind to the true gift of life and the gift of exploring who we are as human beings in this massive world of remarkable people. 

  Marek Madro   Marek is originally from Poland and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). He believes that our society needs healing and in order for everyone to thrive, we must transition behaviors from doing what is easy to doing what is essential. He is currently serving as the student director of the Student Government program, Peer Education Team (PET), which inspires and empowers our students to make health a priority. Marek is a vegetarian and advocates equal opportunity for all living beings. His philosophy in life is about captivating individual passion and turning it into a blueprint for action while at the same time, letting go of things that no longer serve us.
